I can't quite cite explicit pages or quotes; instead I'm generally listing out languages, people, books, talks and other resources have significantly influenced my sense of taste.

Particularly a lot of coaching by Kent Beck, Rich Hickey's talks on Clojure, SICP and several books on Scheme, spending time with Haskell; and understanding just how far metaprogramming can go by working with Andrei Alexandrescu's code.
