The Laundry Files has been one of my favorite series forever, with some very fine ideas introduced by the author since the series was introduced. The idea of journals by secret agents who also seemed to be working in the most bureaucratic tech office to ever exist was amazing.
As the series progressed with different characters I can't say I enjoyed it as much, and I was happy to come back to the main characters again dealing with an unsolveable problem. The ending felt fairly angry, and perhaps a commentary on the current world.
Spare me from this middle management bullshit . Because what comes next is middle age and responsibility and , oh noes , I might be in danger of having to grow up or something .
